On the night of Halloween, 31st October 2014, I was at the Johnnie Walker's MAKE IT BLACK Event held at The Place, One City.
MAKE IT BLACK is a new global campaign which deviates from the classic Johnnie Walker image into a more vibrant and edgier personality said to be inspired by movements of young independent risk-takers of Generation Y. The campaign aims to inspire to leave lasting impressions through bold decisions.
The event started with mingles of Johnnie Walker fans in a private space, slowly sipping their drinks into the night. All dressed in black, our attention was caught with the story of...
"Nearly 200 years ago, a farm boy named John Walker began a
journey—selling blended whisky from a small grocery store in Kilmarnock.
Originally named Walker's Killme Whisky, today Johnnie Walker is the
most widely distributed brand of blended Scotch whisky in the world,
sold in almost every country with yearly sales of over 130 million
bottles.
What started with Johnnie Walker continues with you. Keep Walking."

...followed by a variety performance lineup of hot dancers with choreography by Cecilia Yong, winner of So You Think You Can Dance Malaysia Season 2, LED dance performance by Katoon Network, a musical talent show-off by Guitarist, Leonard Chua & Kelvyn Yeang, Drummer Nehe Ting and DJ Joey G & DJ Ken keeping the vibe going.
