So much thanks to Hairy Mary, Thor Light Laser for painless permanent hair removal treatment is now available as an option! If you have been following me on instagram, you would have noticed that I have just made my second visit to Hairy Mary and OMG, I can't help but squeal with happiness inside me after every visit. It is not only painless but it just feels so good! More on that later on.
•So, what is Thor Light Laser?•

Freezing Thor combine the light laser energy with cool freeze system to bring the temperature down to -5 to -10 degree Celsius. •IPL vs Thor Light Laser,•
If there was a choice to choose between IPL and Thor Light Laser, my answer will always be the latter. No question asked. Answer is obvious with the comparison below;
Beam:
IPL - scattered beam which might miss the hair patch and also affects surrounding tissues.
THOR - very targeted beam which only hair very precisely without affecting surrounding tissues.
Hair Type & Skin Tone:
IPL - not very effective on coarse hair hence take a much longer time to be effective and only works for fair skin.
THOR - effective on all hair type and skin tone.
Efficiency:
IPL - usually takes more than 10 sessions to show hairless result.
THOR - usually takes only about 6 sessions to show hairless result.
Pain level:
IPL - could be average to quite painful especially for area with dark skin and thick hair.
THOR - little to no pain.
Affordability:
IPL - much more costly than waxing and shaving but saves a lot of time after treatment and worth it.
THOR - higher price than IPL per session but total cost is quite similar if compared to total price to reach hairless result.
•Thor Laser Light Treatment Procedure•
1. On 1st visit, the staff will explain all about Thor Light Laser and how it works before we are ushered into the treatment room.
2. In the room, we will be required to change into a gown for more comfort and prevent any inconvenience.
3. My current treatment course is the Full Leg Thor Light Laser treatment. The targeted area was examined and then gently shaved. Then, a layer of cooling gel will be applied before the Thor Light Laser Beam is rolled along the skin surface. Every surface will be repeated a few times.
4. Once done, the cooling gel will be wiped off and a soothing lotion will be applied.

When I first heard about Thor Light Laser, I was skeptical about the no pain because it sounds a little too real to be true! Until I personally tried it for the Full Leg Part, am I truly awed at how comfortable this treatment feels. I bet you would not believe me too when I told you that I did not feel anything at all besides the movement of the machine roller of the . This could be because I have a strong tolerance but fret not, even for low pain tolerance, there might only be a slight tingling sensation. The level of comfort is absolutely incomparable with IPL treatment. The whole session felt so comfortable that it was really relaxing for me, like a spa session. Also thanks to the experienced staff for the caring and gentle touch, it was truly an enjoyable session for me. My best description, I could literally fall asleep. 😪💤 I wonder if I'm the only one.
Zero level pain :)
After the first session, there was no down time at all and I do not feel any sensitivity like what I would usually feel after waxing which are redness and bumps on pores. Hair growth have also reduced by quite a lot; there were some patches with hair and some without but overall, the hair were getting fine. I do feel that it takes less treatments to achieve a hair free condition compared to the usual IPL treatment. Therefore, I would definitely recommend Thor Light Laser for everyone who is thinking of signing up for a permanent hair removal package! Totally effective and paint free!
