Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory! Even the name sounds delicious! 😋 Don't you agree?

Every new Japaneses Dessert shop that lands in Malaysia brings foodgasm to me. 😋 Although pricey, they are worth the price tag most of the time. Especially this one with everything imported from Japan. Yes, you heard it, every single thing!

Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory open it's kiosk in Pavilion since Mid Dec/Jan, and you can never missed the kiosk which is exhibiting their famous Japanese Cookie with Milky Cream Filling outside the Mercato Supermarket. If you did not know, their product ingredients are sourced all over the world and only the best are selected.

Introducing into the Malaysia market, also their famous Milk Cheesecake and Strawberry Swissroll.

Milk Cheesecake (RM75) - Double-layer cheesecake made with cream cheese from France and Hokkaido, blended with fresh cream and well selected milk, gently wrapped in a crepe.

Strawberry SwissRoll (RM69) - Smooth milk cream, made by combining white chocolate and Hokkaido's condense milk, together with Amaou strawberry from Fukuoka, rolled in a strawberry sheet.

The packaging itself seems to contain so much effort! With a paper wooden box which reminds me so much of the Chinese dim sum steam basket. That's not all, once opened, there's a soft yellow crepe paper wrapping the cake itself which is contained in a plastic protection. A soft plastic roll around the side of the cake and also a see through plastic cover, probably to contain all the goodness without any interference to it during travelling and storage as they are not available for dine in.

Most of the time, you can only find layered delicate wrapping from Japan.

Even though unwrapped from a take away packaging, it looks like a piece of art itself. That's also one of the fine and dainty characteristic of Japanese work.

The cake is made up of soft premium cream cheese combination of both from Hokkaido and France, wrapped with a very thin layer of crepe on the bottom and also side of the cake ending with a layer of soft light cheesy cake crumbs on the top.

Taste wise, it is pretty much as expected of Japanese confectioneries; delicate soft flavour of cheese with the same soft and airy texture cream cheese. The crepe and light crumbs from the top enhance the mouth feel experience, adds to the texture of just melting cheese but never too strong to be the highlight of the bite. Just the way I like it.

However, as mentioned, do not be surprised that the size might be a little smaller than you would expect it to be. Approximately 5 inch in size.

Takeaway available option: frozen or chilled. Advisable to take chilled if you are going to consume within the day. Frozen if you are going to consume tomorrow so you can keep it fresh in your freezer, or if your journey home will be quite a distance.

However, there are also ice box for purchase.

Recommended consumption day: it is recommended to be consumed within 1-2 days in chilled condition to experience the best condition and flavour. Any number of days more than that, the texture might start to differ.

I'mma continue to yum on my cheese cake now. 💕
