I have a car. and I have to say it's a freakin privilege in Malaysia!

Actually if I have a choice, I would rather take public transports. It is because the public transport here are so inefficient and services so horrible, it's just much much more convenient to drive a car!

Ktm doesn't arrive according to scheduled time. LRT/MRT often breakdown. Buses take 1 1/2 hour route to reach a destination I can reach within 1/2 hour. Taxi drivers are rude max. (it's a fact most Malaysians know)

So why not just drive a car? Saves me from so much hassle!

But then again, there's some point in life, it is much easier to just grab a taxi. Honestly, I would if it wasn't for the rude taxi drivers. Well, to be honest, not all of them are rude but I just don't want to take another chance to meet another. So I decided to skip having to ride in any taxi.

That is.. until I tried MyTeksi.

I decided to give them a try because I found a 3 x RM15 coupon code for MyTeksi rides! Here's my experiences;

--

My 1st ride: it was early morning and I need a ride from Bangsar to KL Sentral. Once I parked my car, I booked a taxi. Just within minute, the taxi was in front of me! It was a malay man who doesn't speak much. The taxi was clean and it was a comfortable ride. when I reach the destination, I didn't have to pay anything because the price was within RM15! *yay*

Just as I was about to reach McD for my breakfast, I realize something missing! I actually left my Starbucks Tumblr tugged at the side of the car door as I got off the taxi on the other side. I checked the Myteksi apps and I found the contact number of the taxi driver! I felt super relieved because I successfully got him on the line and informed that he will return the tumblr when I get back from my trip! I felt super relieved.

It took quite a while (as my place was not in between his routes and he was bust) but he did return my tumblr! Thank God for the info on MyTeksi app and the nice taxi driver, En.Mohamad Yusrizal!

My 2nd ride: I booked the 2nd ride when I need to get back to Bangsar from KL Sentral. This time, it was an indian man who does not speak much either.

I waited for the taxi for a short while at the exit side of Subway restaurant. There was a lot of taxi drivers waiting for customers and one of them even approach me for their service.

When my taxi arrived, he got off the car and some how told me to get in the cab quick. Just as I was loading my baggage into the trunk of the car, an intimidating chinese man shouted in my direction,"you called for myteksi ah?". I did not bother to reply and quickly got into the cab.

It gives me an impression that those taxi drivers waiting there are actually in a gang, acting all dominant. I feel lucky I do not have to use their service. Such are the hooligan attitude that I did not want to encounter which leads to me skipping taxi rides if I could!

--

My 3rd ride: I didn't have any intention to use my third coupon code. It just happen one day that my brother dropped me off in Midvalley and I took the Ktm home later on to Kajang station.

This is another place with horrible taxi drivers. It was quite a long time ago when I took a taxi ride from the station to my home. The taxi driver did not use the meter and when we reach the destination, he demanded me to pay an overpriced amount. I told him that the price is too much. We ended up in an argument. I just left the price he deserve and got down from the taxi. This is one of my most horrible taxi experience.

Hence this time, I decided to get one through MyTeksi as the previous both has given me a good experience. The taxi driver gave me a call and inform me of his taxi details such as colour and plate number so that I could look out for it since it was raining.

I got into the taxi and was greeted by a malay man. He was very friendly and we had a small chat all the way home.

Now that I have used up all my coupons, would I still want to take a taxi ride with Myteksi? My answer is actually yes. My reason being;

1. I feel safe riding on taxi bonded with MyTeksi. The taxi drivers are ethical people and the car is clean. Their information such as the taxi driver's name, vehicle number and contact number are recorded into the Myteksi app which shows responsibilities of recording information for the customer's safety.

2. It is such a convenient to track the taxi location around when looking for one. There are also gps location to estimate the time they will be arriving n track their current location while they are coming to our place.

3. As above, we don't have to waste time waiting for a taxi to pass. We just need to contact the nearest taxi available and they will be coming to get us!

4. The taxis are sure to use the meter. No haggling of price of getting rejections from taxi drivers to drive you to your destination.

Now, as if those are not a good enough reason to grab a taxi through Myteksi, they are having a daily giveaway of RM500 cash!

I just saw a blue sharky Myteksi taxi passing through in front a few days ago and I found out what it's all about!
