048: S.wine Cafe @ B.E.N.'s Grocer - Publika

Publika is an awesome place for hangout with friends. A lot of unique concept food store with different environment for everyone to choose from.

B.E.N.'s Grocer is very unique at it's own with some food store, restaurant and cafe in itself. Tried B.E.N.'s General Food Store twice and blogged about it once here. Drinks are good but food, not really my preference.

Next time round, went to try out S.wine because it looks really intriguing to think that an eatery actually caters to Pork Lovers! Yum!

 A cuppa Coffee to start the day! 

 Nowadays, people are going crazy after Eggs Benedict! However, the best one, no doubt, is still served at Plan B. This is not bad but I don't really like thick ham.

Somehow, I was kind of thrilled when I saw that they serve Oriental dishes here! Guess I just expected everything to be Western. This photo looks the least appetizing but trust me, the real thing taste exactly the opposite! This Salted Vegetable Duck Soup is  very easy to prepare but also very delicious! ^^ 

Spaghetti Carbonara RM23.90 - made the traditional way with pancetta chunks and roughly torn prosciutto, tossed in cream and  topped with a raw egg yolk. Sounds lavish but the dish was a let down because the meat is extremely salty and so is the pasta.

One down, one more to go! Did I say that this is extremely filling? Not bad for a meal that cost RM19.90.

The English Fry Up RM39 - weird name for a breakfast set. Big breakfast with applewood smoked bacon, arugula pork sausage, sauteed button mushrooms, house-made baked beans, grilled roma tomato and two fried eggs served with coffee or tea + orange juice. The portion is quite huge, you can actually share it between 2 person.

A lot on the menu is actually from 11 am onwards. Hence I advice you guys who want to try it up to go after 11 a.m. There is also about 5 dishes on the menu which is after 6 p.m. Might return to try out next time.

Also, they have a room section with less tables. Sounds good because it means more privacy and less noise but it also comes with less attention from the waiter/waitress.

Overall experience, it was pleasant but it is not something that would make me go,"Hey, we should come back next time!"
