Attended the first Sau Kung Jau / Work Wrap Up Dinner with MHB this year hosted by the Royal Flush at Ara Damansara! It was actually my first time at Oasis Ara Damansara and I got to say this place is so happening! Really didn't expect so many eateries here with a huge crowd of customers!

Outside and inside, the designs and decorations are very oriental, giving a more authentic dining experience. I really like the building especially when the lanterns are lit up at night! So pretty!

Many higher range Chinese restaurants have actually deteriorate in quality in terms to service personals hired but at Royal Flush, I could still very much experience a gentle and attentive attitude. Thumbs up!

Chinese New Year Meals should always start with Yee Sang! The Royal Flush Prosperity Yee Sang with Salmon is just like any other but I always like it when the originality is kept. As long as the crackers are still crunchy and the sweet sour taste blends well, it's always a great appetizer!

Double Boiled Top Shell with Ginseng Root. The soup is clear but still taste very flavorful with ingredients of chicken, dried scallop, mushroom and more!

Steamed Kampung Chicken with Dried Scallops & Green Vegetables. The chicken meat feels more saturated with only a thin layer of oil in between. The flavor of the gravy is strong enough to accommodate the chicken meat.

Steamed Giant Garoupa Hakka Style. The Garoupa meat is pretty smooth and tender. Carefully paired with light soy sauce as to not shadow the sweetness of the meat.

Baked Ming Prawns with Japanese Sauce. Prawns are often fried or steamed and rarely baked. These baked prawns with sweet Japanese sauce is easy to savor with attentive serving of fork and spoons. The fresh prawns feels tender and the Japanese sauce adds to the enlightenment of the prawn.

Braised Mushroom Fish Maw with Vegetable. Fish Maw is one of the ingredients which appears frequently in dishes during the Chinese New Year. Often served in soup or braised with mushroom in oyster sauce and broccoli, is delicious to savor when the flavor is deeply penetrated within together with the mushroom.

Chinese New Year Waxed Meat Rice. Also one of the must have during Chinese New Year, both prepared with salt as the main ingredient, the meats brings out a very strong and aromatic flavor. Something even though unhealthy, should be savored at least once a year as it is too delicious to resist! However, I am someone who prefer a moderate level in taste and hence find this dish a little too salty for my liking.

Chilled Longan with Sea Coconut. One of my all time favourite dessert! With ingredients of longan, sea coconut and cubes of aloe vera, it is best taken during the hot and dry weather during Chinese New Year to prevent getting sick.

Crispy Chinese New Year Pancake with Yam. Another of my all time favorite, the pancake is made of 2 yam layers and nian gao in between. The nian gao stays soft but not too sticky. The crust on the outside was light and not overly oily, giving the last enjoyable experience of dining at Royal Flush. Definitely ending the meal with much sweetness! It would definitely level up the dish if they replaced a slice of yam with the usual sweet potato.

Their menus are really super inviting! Once in a while, I love some bonding time with the family in a very Oriental Chinese Restaurant serving proper Chinese dishes. It just feels very Chinese, if you get what I mean.. My favorite among the sets is actually the Set Menu (B) RM1388++ (10pax) because I super loooove having crispy suckling pigs and deep fried prawns with salted egg! Yumm! Thinking about it makes me salivate!

Not only does the menu appeal to me but also the fact that Royal Flush is some what far away from the busy locations and there are ample carpark space at Oasis Square! Definitely a nice place for some close knit Chinese New Year gathering dinner! The Oriental themed interior and exterior adds more to the Chinese New Year mood too!

On a different note, I was actually a little taken a backed when I realize that there was no shark fin in sight on their menu! As one of the dish that shows prestige in the Chinese, I have not really came across any Chinese restaurants that do not serve shark fin. For this, I would like to applaud Royal Flush for going against serving shark fin dishes as one of the must-have in most Chinese restaurants!

Not forgetting to share some of the group pictures taken during the gathering!
