Get ready to salivate! Welcome to my ramen post! Hehe..
I'm talking about the new branch of Hakata Ippudo in Gardens Mall! Yay for all of you! Japanese Ramen which you all could actually go try in Malaysia ;P
Did you know that IPPUDO has outlets all over the world? It's no wonder that are pretty much serving the best ramen around the world, not counting Japan~
It's so famous and it's ramen so good that it's even in the Wiki!
I have actually been to the branch at Pavillion and I think the ramen there is really good! Like.. the best I've ever tasted! Until..... I went to Japan and.. Holy Moly! I was presented the yummiest ramen ever and that spoilt my taste bud >.<
Okay, let's not spoil the yummy ramen. Honestly, Hakata Ippudo makes the best ramen in Malaysia! Everyone should go try it because they now have a pretty affordable Ippudo Combo Set!
1 RAMEN + 1 SIDE DISH or 1 DESSERT + 1 GREEN TEA (cold/hot)
for ONLY RM29.90 ++
Good deal or not?
Choices of ramen:
SHIROMARU MOTOAJI IPPUDO's original tonkotsu broth served with untra thin noodles, pork loin, bean sprouts, kikurage & spring onions. Classic Hakata style ramen
AKAMARU SHINAJI IPPUDO's original tonkotsu broth enhanced with special blended miso paste and fragrant garlic oil. Served with thin noodles, pork belly, kikurage and spring onions. A refined modern style ramen.
KARAKA-MEN IPPUDO's original tonkotsu broth with special spicy miso, cashew nuts and ground pork
We actually ordered all three types and the broth is really super yummy! Portion is not too big, nor too small. Just enough. KARAKA-MEN is also just slightly spicy. Hence, people like me could still order it. ;P
Choices of Side Dish:
BUTA KARA BUN Steamed bun with deep fried pork loin with homemade spicy sauce
TERRIYAKI CHICKEN RICE Pan fried chicken and garlic flower on Japanese rice, served with teriyaki sauce
CRISPY SALAD Green Salad served with diced cut pork meat and sesame dressing
EBI KATSU BUN Steamed bun with deep fried shrimp with spicy mayonnise
SAKE MENTAI RICE Rice topped with grilled minced salmon and cod fish roe
POTATO SALAD Potato salad served with fresh greens and diced cut eggs.
Choices of Dessert:
MATCHA CLASSIC Green Tea Ice Cream
GOMA & AZUKI Black Sesame Ice Cream
YUZU DELIGHT Yuzu Sherbet
SO much to choose, you feel like having all of them right? That's why it's best to go in a small group so that we can try everything! :D
Interior looks pretty cosy. In fact, it's more than cosy. It's actually quite hot in there which in a turn down point and a disappointment when the food there is so good =/
Aside from the combo set, we ordered some other dishes from the menu as well.
That's GOMA Q Fresh Japanese cucumber with Sesame RM9. I don't really like the usual cucumber but I really like Japanese cucumber because it's so crunchy! Yummz!
Since they're out of ingredients to prepare CRISPY SALAD from the combo set, we ordered SMOKED SALMON SALAD Assorted greens served with smoked salmon topped with Caesar dressing. RM17.90. Dressing is not too heavy, just right and everything's definitely fresh!
Ops, my bad. Gyoza out of focus and soy bottle in focus.
IPPUDO PAN FRIED GYOZA! Ippudo's original pan fried gyoza dumplings RM12. I don't know how but the Japanese made them so good that it seems like this pan fried dumpling dish which actually originated from the Chinese makes people think it's actually a Japanese food!
The following are all from the Ippudo Combo Set Menu;
BUTA KARA BUN Steamed bun with deep fried pork loin with homemade spicy sauce
TERRIYAKI CHICKEN RICE Pan fried chicken and garlic flower on Japanese rice, served with teriyaki sauce
SAKE MENTAI RICE Rice topped with grilled minced salmon and cod fish roe
I prefer this to the chicken rice above because I'm not a big fan of chicken but I love Mentai! <3

All three taste good but I prefer the first one. Original porky broth soup! Yes, I'm currently digging and craving for pork dishes, it's crazy!
