In the compound of Publika lies a very hidden gem with the perfect relaxing and enjoyable ambiance to relax and unwind from the city life. Located at the higher row of terraces in Publika, MANDALA is actually quite hidden from the busy vicinity of shoppers.

The interior of MANDALA offers a beautiful setting suitable for dates, dinner with friends and families, or even celebrations and events. The place is offers a chilling ambiance with low level of noise which contributes to the relaxing environment.
MANDALA offers a range of western style cuisine that is suited to children and grown ups a like. Therefore, everyone who visit is bound to find something suited to their taste buds. Just recently, MANDALA has launched their special 3 Course Set @ RM70.
MANDALA's 3 Course Set offers a variety of choices for mix and match between starters, mains, desserts and drinks. This special 3 course set menu is very much recommended to wine lovers or to those who would love to be a little more adventurous and pair their meal with a glass of wine. However, do take note the 3 Course Set is only available from 6pm to 12am daily and there is no notice yet as to when it will remain available in their menu.

The option for starters are MANDALA's Green, Mushroom Soup and Oxtail Soup.
MANDALA's Green promotes a healthy intake of fresh green romaine lettuce (my favourite green!), Japanese Cucumber, Hard Boiled Egg Topped with Parmeson Cheese and Caesar Dressing.
For soup lovers, there's a choice of Mushroom Soup and Oxtail Soup to choose from. Both fares well as the Mushroom Soup is prepared with a mixture of fresh mushroom ingredients and truffle oil while the Oxtail Soup promotes a strong aromatic beef broth in vegetable soup.
A choice of Mandala's Green with a soup would be great to share among 2 person.

MANDALA has a generous range of selection for mains from seafood to poultry and from buns to pasta and mashed potatoes.
Fans of soft shell crab, you are being spoilt with choice of having your favourite seafood with either a healthy charcoal bun and fries or pasta with buttermilk sauce garnished with chilli flakes for flavour. Spicy and non-spicy lovers, the choice is pretty clear for you. :)
The more classic choices are Grilled Chicken with Buttermilk/ Black Pepper, Fish & Chips or Grilled Salmon with Mashed Potato. The Grilled Chicken is moist and tender with a tinge of Black Pepper so it is actually suitable for most people's flavour. If you are lost for choice, you cannot go wrong with Fish and Chip but it might be too common a dish to be paired with wine. As for Grilled Salmon with mashed potato, it would be great if they could retain the juiciness as I find it a little too dry and lack of flavour.

// Brownies with Ice-Cream //
When it comes to dessert, a girl might have a tough time deciding between the mouth watering daily crepe cake, brownie with ice-cream and chocolate lava cake. I recommend the brownie with ice-cream as I feel the combination of brownie and cold ice-cream is amazing and gives an absolute satisfaction to complete the course. If you are a cake lover, crepe cake is great too as the flavour between the cream and the crepe layer is quite balanced, melting with every bite without feeling greasy.

As we come down to the wine selection, I think there needs no introduction between the choice of red wine and white wine. Every person has a different preference between white wine, Chardonney and red wine, Shiraz. However, I always prefer white wine as it taste much smoother, sweeter and lighter compare to the red wine which usually gives a stronger flavour. Which do you think you would pick?

In the 3 Course Meal, there is actually an introduction of MANDALA's new menu items such as the Oxtail Soup, Jumbo Soft Shell Crab with Charcoal Bun and Grilled Salmon with Mashed Potato. However, there is one other item which is not included in the selection, the Seafood Pizza.
The hand made Seafood Pizza is a must try for seafood lovers as the ingredients of fresh prawns, squid and even mussels are aplenty, giving you a tangy and juicy enjoyment at every bite!
